sec.327 Permit holders
This section applies if, immediately before the commencement day— a race club holds a totalisator licence under the existing Act; and a net pool of the race club is not amalgamated under section 196 of the existing Act. Subject to part 4, division 5, the race club is taken to be a permit holder for 1 year starting on the commencement day. However, if within the period of 1 year the race club enters into an agency agreement with the initial operator, the club stops being a permit holder. (sec.327-ssec.1) This section applies if, immediately before the commencement day— a race club holds a totalisator licence under the existing Act; and a net pool of the race club is not amalgamated under section 196 of the existing Act. (sec.327-ssec.2) Subject to part 4, division 5, the race club is taken to be a permit holder for 1 year starting on the commencement day. (sec.327-ssec.3) However, if within the period of 1 year the race club enters into an agency agreement with the initial operator, the club stops being a permit holder.
- (a) a race club holds a totalisator licence under the existing Act; and
- (b) a net pool of the race club is not amalgamated under section 196 of the existing Act.
