185 Annual report to include information about palliative care spending
> > (1) The Health Secretary must ensure that the annual report prepared under the [Annual Reports (Departments) Act 1985](/view/html/repealed/current/act-1985-156) for the Ministry of Health for a financial year (a reporting year) includes the following information—
> >
> > > (a) the total amount spent by the Ministry on palliative care during the financial year preceding the reporting year,
> >
> > > (b) the aggregated amounts spent by the Ministry on palliative care during the 5 financial years preceding the reporting year,
> >
> > > (c) the total of the following for the reporting year—
> > >
> > > > (i) the number of persons to whom palliative care was provided during an admission to a public hospital,
> > >
> > > > (ii) the number of persons to whom palliative care was provided by the public health system other than during an admission to a public hospital.

> > (2) The information included in the annual report under subsection (1) must be provided—
> >
> > > (a) for the State generally, and
> >
> > > (b) for each local health district.

> > (3) In this section—
> >
> > financial year has the same meaning as in the [Annual Reports (Departments) Act 1985](/view/html/repealed/current/act-1985-156).
> >
> > local health district has the same meaning as in the [Health Services Act 1997](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1997-154), section 8.
> >
> > public health system has the same meaning as in the [Health Services Act 1997](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1997-154), section 6.
> >
> > public hospital has the same meaning as in the [Health Services Act 1997](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1997-154), section 15.
