#### 142 Minister to have access to information 142 Minister to have access to information > > (1) The Minister is entitled— > > > > > (a) to have information in the Board’s possession, and > > > > > (b) if the information is in or on a document—to have, and make and keep copies of, the document. > > > (2) However, the Minister is not entitled to have personal information about a person unless the person has consented to the disclosure of the information. > > > (3) For the purposes of subsection (1), the Minister may— > > > > > (a) ask the Board to give information to the Minister, and > > > > > (b) ask the Board to give the Minister access to information, and > > > > > (c) for the purposes of paragraph (b), make use of staff provided to the Board under section 139 and the Board’s facilities to obtain and give the information to the Minister. > > > (4) The Board must— > > > > > (a) comply with a request under subsection (3), and > > > > > (b) make staff and facilities available to the Minister as required under subsection (3)(c). > > > (5) In this section— > > > > document includes any tape, disk or other device or medium on which information is recorded or stored. > > > > information means information specified, or of a description specified, by the Minister that relates to the functions of the Board.
