#### 124 Cancellation of document presented as prescription 124 Cancellation of document presented as prescription > > (1) This section applies if— > > > > > (a) an authorised supplier is given a document that is presented as a prescription for a voluntary assisted dying substance, and > > > > > (b) the authorised supplier is satisfied the document— > > > > > > > (i) does not comply with section 74, or > > > > > > > (ii) is not issued by the coordinating practitioner for the patient to whom the document relates, or > > > > > > > (iii) is false in a material particular. > > > (2) The authorised supplier must— > > > > > (a) cancel the document by marking the word “cancelled” across it, and > > > > > (b) give the Health Secretary written notice— > > > > > > > (i) that the document has been cancelled, and > > > > > > > (ii) the reasons for cancelling the document. > > > > Maximum penalty—imprisonment for 12 months.
