Part 22—High efficiency refrigerators and freezers

14 Prescribed activity

(i) a product listed on the ESC register as belonging to a product category whose category number is specified in column 1 of Table 22.1; or

(ii) an unlisted product that complies with the criteria specified in column 2 of an item in Table 22.1; and

(b) in the case of a category 22E product, installing the product in accordance with the specified installation requirements.

Table 22.1—Product categories

| 22A | A single door refrigerator that achieves a specified minimum performance requirement. | | 22B | A two-door refrigerator that achieves a specified minimum performance requirement. | | 22C | A chest freezer that achieves a specified minimum performance requirement. | | 22D | An upright freezer that achieves a specified minimum performance requirement. | | 22E | A product that meets the requirements of the Secretary's specifications for this item. |
