Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Attorney‑General declaration under the Telecommunications (Interception) Act 1979 treats unsworn Victoria Police civilian staff as if they were Australian Federal Police staff for the limited purpose of accessing intercepted communications. It ensures analysts, technical and administrative personnel can legally handle tapped telecommunications data they need for their roles.
