258 Causing disaffection (1) A person (including a regulated person) must not cause, attempt to cause or do any act calculated to cause disaffection among police officers or protective services officers. (2) A person (including a regulated person) must not induce or attempt to induce a police officer or protective services officer to withhold the officer's services or to commit a breach of discipline. (3) Subsection (1) or (2) does not apply to a person who, in good faith— (a) points out or attempts to point out errors or defects in or desirable alterations or improvements to laws, regulations or working conditions governing police officers or protective services officers; or (b) induces police officers or protective services officers to attempt to procure by lawful means the alteration of any laws, regulations or working conditions governing them. ***regulated person*** means a person referred to in section 252(1).
