253 Bribery and corruption towards police or protective services officers (1) A person (including a regulated person) must not give, offer or promise a bribe, pecuniary or otherwise, to a regulated person. (2) A person (including a regulated person) must not give, offer or promise a payment or other benefit to, or make an agreement with, a regulated person to neglect the regulated person's duty. (3) A person (including a regulated person) must not give, offer or promise a payment or other benefit to, or make an agreement with, a regulated person to improperly take advantage of the regulated person's position. (4) A proceeding for an offence against subsection (1), (2) or (3) may be commenced within the period of 3 years after the commission of the alleged offence. ***regulated person*** means a person referred to in section 252(1).
