248 Certain persons may request disclosure of vehicle accident information (1) A person may request a police officer or a Victoria Police employee to disclose to the person vehicle accident information relating to an accident if— (a) the person was injured as a result of the vehicle accident; or (b) the person's property was damaged or destroyed as a result of the vehicle accident; or (c) the person is a personal representative of a person who died or was injured, or whose property was damaged or destroyed, as a result of the vehicle accident; or (d) the person is an authorised representative of a person referred to in paragraph (a) or (b), or a personal representative referred to in paragraph (c). (2) A request may only be for an authorised purpose. (3) A request must be made in accordance with section 249.
