212 Vacancies, resignation and removal from office (1) The office of a member of the PRS Board becomes vacant if he or she— (b) is convicted of an offence punishable by imprisonment or an offence that, if committed in Victoria, would be punishable by imprisonment; or (c) resigns from office by delivering a signed letter of resignation to the Governor in Council; or (d) is removed from office under subsection (2). (2) The Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister, may remove a member from office if— (a) the member becomes incapable of performing his or her duties; or (b) the member is negligent in the performance of those duties; or (c) the member engages in improper conduct; or (d) the member is absent, without leave first being granted by the President, from 3 consecutive meetings of which reasonable notice has been given to the member; or (e) for any other reason, the Minister is satisfied that the member is unfit to hold office.
