17 Meaning of close family member close family member, of a primary victim, means a person who is in 1 of the following relationships: (a) the domestic partner of the primary victim; Note Domestic partner—see the Legislation Act, s 169. (b) a parent, guardian or step-parent of the primary victim; (c) a child or stepchild of the primary victim, or some other child of whom the primary victim is the guardian. guardian does not include the director-general responsible for administering the Children and Young People Act 2008 or any other person who is a guardian because of the person’s occupation of a statutory office, whether within the ACT or elsewhere.
