### 25 Application for forfeiture order > > (1)  If a person is convicted of a serious offence or offences after 3 October 1996, the Director may apply to a judge for a forfeiture order in respect of the person's property. > > > (2)  The application is to be made before the end of the relevant application period in relation to the person's conviction. > > > (3)  The relevant application period is the period of 6 months immediately following the day on which the person was convicted of the serious offence or offences. > > > (4)  The Director is to give written notice of the application to the convicted person.
