sec.22 Acting commissioner
The Minister may appoint a person to act in the office of commissioner during— a vacancy in the office of commissioner; or a period when the commissioner is absent from duty or can not, for another reason, perform the functions of the office. A person can not be appointed to act as commissioner unless, at the time of the appointment, the person is eligible for appointment under section 14 . (sec.22-ssec.1) The Minister may appoint a person to act in the office of commissioner during— a vacancy in the office of commissioner; or a period when the commissioner is absent from duty or can not, for another reason, perform the functions of the office. (sec.22-ssec.2) A person can not be appointed to act as commissioner unless, at the time of the appointment, the person is eligible for appointment under section 14 .
- (a) a vacancy in the office of commissioner; or
- (b) a period when the commissioner is absent from duty or can not, for another reason, perform the functions of the office.
