9 Incorporation by reference S. 9(1) amended by No. 43/2024 s. 25. (1) The building regulations may apply, adopt or incorporate, either wholly or in part and with or without any modification, any matter contained in the Building Code of Australia or any other document as in force or as issued or published or adopted at a particular time or as in force or as issued or published or adopted from time to time. S. 9(2) substituted by No. 68/2001 s. 4(1). (2) Section 32 of the **Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984** does not apply to the application, adoption or incorporation by the building regulations of any matter contained in a planning scheme approved under the **Planning and Environment Act 1987**. S. 9A inserted by No. 68/2001 s. 5.
