316 Proof of insurance On and after the day on which Division 1 of Part 2 of the **Building Legislation Amendment (Buyer Protections) Act 2025** comes into operation, proof of eligibility for the purposes of section 172(2)(b) given by a designated insurer and relating to a builder's current period of registration is, until the first of the following to happen, taken to be proof of eligibility given by the Authority— (a) Division 2 of Part 3 of the **Building Legislation Amendment (Buyer Protections) Act 2025** comes into operation; (b) the builder's eligibility to be covered by the required insurance is reassessed.
