229J Confidentiality (1) An authorised person must not give to any other person, whether directly or indirectly, any information gained in the exercise of powers as an authorised person under this Part. (2) Despite subsection (1), information may be given— (a) to the extent necessary— (i) to carry out functions under this Act or the regulations; or (ii) in connection with the administration or enforcement of this Act or the regulations; or (iii) to give any information the authorised person is authorised, permitted or required to give under this Act or any other Act or the regulations under this Act; or (b) for the purpose of any legal proceedings arising out of this Act or the regulations, or of any report of those proceedings; or (c) with the consent of the Minister.
