228Q Announcement before entry (1) Before executing a warrant issued under section 228K(2) or 228M(2), the authorised person named in the warrant or a person assisting the authorised person— (a) must announce that the person is authorised by the warrant to enter the building or land; and (b) give any person at the building or land an opportunity to allow entry to the building or land. (2) The authorised person or a person assisting the authorised person is not required to comply with subsection (1) if the person believes on reasonable grounds that immediate entry to the building or land is required to ensure— (a) the safety of any person; or (b) that the effective execution of the warrant is not frustrated.
