127A Immunity for members of public authorities and staff (1) A member of a public authority or any person appointed or engaged by a public authority is not liable for anything done or omitted to be done in good faith— (a) in carrying out a function under this Act or the regulations; or (b) in the reasonable belief that the act or omission was in the carrying out of a function under this Act or the regulations. (2) Any liability resulting from an act or omission that would, but for subsection (1), attach to a member of a public authority or a person appointed or engaged by a public authority attaches instead to the public authority. (3) In this section ***public authority*** does not include a council. S. 128 amended by No. 26/2019 s. 119.
