Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This determination classifies Australian Defence Force service during Operation Plumbob (8–24 June 2000) as "non‑warlike service" under the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986. It applies to ADF members assigned to the evacuation from Honiara, covering Guadalcanal and waters within 12 nautical miles.

That classification determines veterans' entitlements—such as access to disability pensions, medical treatment, and other compensation—available to personnel or their families for service on that mission.
