23FF Extent of Commissioner’s general administration of this Act

The Commissioner has the general administration of this Act to the following extent: (a) paragraphs 17(1)(a) and 20(a) (loan applications to include tax file numbers); (b) this Part; (c) Part 7 so far as it relates to reviewable decisions for which the Commissioner is the decision maker; (d) section 97 (Commissioner may disclose VET information); (e) section 107 (verifying tax file numbers).

Note: One effect of this is that this Act is to that extent a taxation law for the purposes of the Taxation Administration Act 1953.
