Commonwealth legislation
This instrument prescribes the format and content of vehicle approval marks used for the Australian Design Rule on External Projections. It provides two model approval-mark examples (Models A and B) showing the approving country code, regulation numbers, the amendment-series encoded in the first two digits of approval numbers, and a minimum character dimension (a = 8 mm).
It affects vehicle manufacturers, importers and approval authorities because it sets mandatory labelling used to demonstrate regulatory approval and enable traceability.
