This notice names the Australian Association of National Advertisers (Ad Standards; ABN 54 003 179 673) as a “decision‑maker” for the purposes of section 33 of the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999, so decisions that the Act assigns to a decision‑maker under s 33 will be made by Ad Standards (s 3). The notice takes effect when its making is published in the Gazette (s 2). Affected parties must accept and comply with decisions made under s 33 by the declared body; the notice does not itself change the powers or limits set out in s 33 (s 3).
