### 44 Fees generally > > (1)  The regulations may – > > > > > > (a) fix fees, or the basis on which fees are to be calculated, on any application under this Act (including differential fees that vary according to whether an application is made within, or after the expiration of, a particular time limit); and > > > > > > > (b) fix fees, or the basis on which fees are to be calculated, for – > > > > > > > > > > (i) any administrative act under this Act; and > > > > > > > > > > > (ii) any service or materials provided under this Act. > > > (2)  The regulations may also – > > > > > > (a) provide for the payment and recovery of fees; and > > > > > > > (b) provide for concessions, waivers, rebates or exemptions related to fees and provide for refunds (or partial refunds) of fees; and > > > > > > > (c) deal with incidental and ancillary matters.
