> > (1) In this Act –

> > > ***repairable write-off*** means a vehicle that is not a statutory write-off but has been assessed by a prescribed person in Tasmania, another State or a Territory as a total loss;

> > (2) [*\[Section 3A Subsection (2) amended by No. 17 of 2013, s. 4, Applied:20 Jun 2013\]*](/view/html/inforce/2013-06-20/act-2013-017#GS4@Hpb@EN) Despite [subsection (1)](#GS3A@Gs1@EN) , a vehicle is only a repairable write-off if the vehicle is assessed as a total loss not later than the end of the month which is the fifteenth anniversary of its date of manufacture, within the meaning of the relevant ADR.

> > > > (b) that vehicle, as so damaged, may not be reassessed as a statutory write-off after that commencement.
