### 32 Use of vehicle contrary to prohibition > [*\[Section 32 Amended by No. 40 of 2000, s. 7, Applied:14 Aug 2000\]*](/view/html/inforce/2000-08-14/act-2000-040#GS7@EN) A person must not use, or permit the use of, a motor vehicle or a trailer on a public street in breach of a total prohibition on its use imposed under the regulations. > > Penalty:  In the case of – > > > > (a) a first offence – > > > > > > > > (i) for a body corporate– a fine not exceeding 200 penalty units; and > > > > > > > > > (ii) for an individual– a fine not exceeding 40 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months, or both; and > > > > > (b) a second or subsequent offence – > > > > > > > > (i) for a body corporate– a fine not exceeding 400 penalty units; and > > > > > > > > > (ii) for an individual– a fine not exceeding 80 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or both.
