### 10 Duty of trustees > The trustees of a trust for charitable purposes have a duty, if the case permits and requires the trust property or a part of it to be applied cy-près, to secure its effective use for charity by taking steps to enable it to be so applied either by an application to the Court under [section 6](#GS6@EN) or to the Attorney-General under [section 7](#GS7@EN) .
