sec.39 Cancellation of registration
The board may order that a valuer’s registration be cancelled if— in the board’s opinion, the valuer does not possess the qualifications entitling the valuer to registration; or the valuer is mentally or physically incapable of managing the valuer’s own affairs; or the valuer has been convicted of an indictable offence (whether in Queensland or elsewhere). The board must not act under subsection (1) unless the board has given the valuer a written notice that— sets out the reasons for the proposed cancellation; and gives the valuer 30 days in which to make oral or written submissions to the board in relation to the reasons. If the board cancels a valuer’s registration under this section, the board must give the valuer an information notice for the decision. If the board cancels a valuer’s registration under this section, the board must— remove the name and other particulars of the valuer from the register; and publish notice of the removal in a newspaper circulating throughout the State and on the board’s website. s 39 amd 2005 No. 68 s 138 ; 2009 No. 24 s 942 (sec.39-ssec.1) The board may order that a valuer’s registration be cancelled if— in the board’s opinion, the valuer does not possess the qualifications entitling the valuer to registration; or the valuer is mentally or physically incapable of managing the valuer’s own affairs; or the valuer has been convicted of an indictable offence (whether in Queensland or elsewhere).
