sec.3 Definitions

In this Act— annual renewal day means 1 May. s 3 def annual renewal day ins 2001 No. 62 s 4 (2) appointed member means a member appointed under section 6 (1) (b) or (c) . s 3 def appointed member amd 2001 No. 62 s 4 (1) assistant member means a person appointed under section 7 as an assistant member of the board. board means the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland. chairperson means the chairperson of the board. commencing day means the day fixed under section 2 . committee ... s 3 def committee om 2009 No. 24 s 939 (1) CPD , for a registered valuer, means continuing professional development. s 3 def CPD ins 2001 No. 62 s 4 (2) criminal history , of a person, has the meaning given by the Criminal Law (Rehabilitation of Offenders) Act 1986 , section 3 , but does not include convictions for which the rehabilitation period has expired, and has not been revived, under that Act. s 3 def criminal history ins 2003 No. 20 s 29 information notice means a notice complying with the QCAT Act , section 157 (2) . s 3 def information notice ins 2009 No. 24 s 939 (2) investigator means a person authorised under section 44 to conduct an investigation on behalf of the board. member means a member of the board. officer , of the board, includes a person authorised under section 44 to carry out an investigation. s 3 def officer ins 2005 No. 68 s 131 register means the Register of Valuers of Queensland kept under this Act. registered valuer means a valuer registered under this Act. specialist retail valuer means a person whose name is recorded on the list of specialist retail valuers kept under section 42A . s 3 def specialist retail valuer ins 1994 No. 47 s 124 sch amd 2004 No. 4 s 57 sch valuer means a person who, in any capacity, holds himself or herself out as ready to make a valuation of land.
