79Electricity connection service

79 Electricity connection service (1) This section applies if a person has applied to an electricity distributor for a connection service for electricity for the person’s premises. (2) The person may elect to have an accredited person other than the distributor do work in relation to the connection service.

(3) However, this section does not apply until a date determined by the Minister. (4) A determination is a notifiable instrument. accredited person, in relation to work, means a person accredited under a technical code to do the work.
