#### 21A Stamp duty exemption 21A Stamp duty exemption > > (1) Unless the Treasurer otherwise directs in a particular case, neither the University nor the Council is liable to duty under the [Duties Act 1997](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1997-123), in respect of anything done by the University or Council for the purposes of the borrowing of money or the investment of funds of the University under this Act. > > > (2) The Treasurer may direct in writing that any other specified person is not liable to duty under the [Duties Act 1997](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1997-123) in respect of anything done for the purposes of the borrowing of money or the investment of funds of the University under this Act, and the direction has effect accordingly. > > **s 21A:** Ins 2001 No 101, Sch 4 \[15\].
