Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

These Regulations specify particular kinds of goods that are excluded from the Uncollected Goods Act. They say certain impounded items covered by named local by‑laws, and some uncollected, abandoned or unclaimed goods covered by specified court or university rules, remain governed by those instruments rather than the Act. This affects people and bodies holding or claiming goods (local councils, courts, universities, bailees and owners) because it changes which procedures and legal rules apply to disposal or recovery.
