Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This regulation is a legislative cleanup that repeals over 1,500 spent or redundant Treasury-related instruments from the Commonwealth statute books, clearing clutter like old tax rulings, banking exemptions and defunct amendments.
It preserves legal effects by saving any amendments, transitional or savings provisions so substantive law isn’t changed. The tidy-up makes the law more accessible for businesses and lawyers and the regulation expires the day after it takes effect.
