49W Power to copy and retain documents

The Chief Investigator may—

(a) make copies of, or take extracts from, a document given to the Chief Investigator in accordance with a requirement under a transport safety or infrastructure law or seized under this Part; and

(b) keep that document for the period that the Chief Investigator considers necessary.
