sec.76 Requirement of dealer acting in disposal
A dealer must not act for the owner of a registered vehicle to dispose of the vehicle unless the dealer ensures the owner complies with section 75 , whether or not the owner complies through the dealer. Maximum penalty—60 penalty units. However, subsection (1) does not apply if the owner lives in an exempt area for the registered vehicle and the vehicle is being disposed of in that area. (sec.76-ssec.1) A dealer must not act for the owner of a registered vehicle to dispose of the vehicle unless the dealer ensures the owner complies with section 75 , whether or not the owner complies through the dealer.
