sec.62 Tests for lower class licences—foreign driver licence holders

This section applies to a person who applies for a lower class licence if the person— holds a foreign driver licence; or has held a foreign driver licence within the period of 5 years before the person applies for the lower class licence. For section 56 (2) (b) , the person must pass— each road rules test for the lower class licence, unless the person is not required to pass a road rules test for the licence under section 182 or 183 ; and a practical driving test in a motor vehicle of a class that corresponds to the class of the lower class licence. Subsection (2) (b) applies subject to sections 184 to 187 . (sec.62-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who applies for a lower class licence if the person— holds a foreign driver licence; or has held a foreign driver licence within the period of 5 years before the person applies for the lower class licence. (sec.62-ssec.2) For section 56 (2) (b) , the person must pass— each road rules test for the lower class licence, unless the person is not required to pass a road rules test for the licence under section 182 or 183 ; and a practical driving test in a motor vehicle of a class that corresponds to the class of the lower class licence. (sec.62-ssec.3) Subsection (2) (b) applies subject to sections 184 to 187 .

• (a) holds a foreign driver licence; or
