sec.404 Existing applications for Queensland driver licences

This section applies if— before the commencement, a person applied for the grant or renewal of a Queensland driver licence under the expired regulation, including a replacement Queensland driver licence; and immediately before the commencement, the application had not been decided. The expired regulation, other than the expired regulation, section 24, continues to apply in relation to the application as if the expired regulation had not expired. If a Queensland driver licence of a particular class and type is granted or renewed under the expired regulation in relation to the application— the licence is taken to be a Queensland driver licence of that class and type granted under this regulation; and the category of the licence is taken to be the category for the licence mentioned in section 401(3); and this regulation applies in relation to the term of the Queensland driver licence. If a code mentioned in schedule 3, column 1 is stated on the Queensland driver licence, the licence is taken to be subject to the condition stated opposite the code in schedule 3, column 2.
