sec.15 Learning to drive motor vehicles with different transmission or gearbox

This section applies to the holder of a Queensland driver licence if— the holder is, under section 13 , authorised under the licence to drive, or learn to drive, a motor vehicle of a particular class; and the licence is subject to a condition that states the holder may only drive a motor vehicle with a particular type of transmission or gearbox. The holder is authorised under the Queensland driver licence to learn to drive a motor vehicle of the same class with another type of transmission or gearbox. The holder of a class C open licence subject to a condition that the holder may only drive a motor vehicle with an automatic transmission is authorised under the licence to learn to drive a class C motor vehicle with a manual transmission. (sec.15-ssec.1) This section applies to the holder of a Queensland driver licence if— the holder is, under section 13 , authorised under the licence to drive, or learn to drive, a motor vehicle of a particular class; and the licence is subject to a condition that states the holder may only drive a motor vehicle with a particular type of transmission or gearbox. (sec.15-ssec.2) The holder is authorised under the Queensland driver licence to learn to drive a motor vehicle of the same class with another type of transmission or gearbox. The holder of a class C open licence subject to a condition that the holder may only drive a motor vehicle with an automatic transmission is authorised under the licence to learn to drive a class C motor vehicle with a manual transmission.

• (a) the holder is, under section 13 , authorised under the licence to drive, or learn to drive, a motor vehicle of a particular class; and
• (b) the licence is subject to a condition that states the holder may only drive a motor vehicle with a particular type of transmission or gearbox.
