sec.120 Tests for higher class licences
For section 118 (1) (b) , a person who applies for a higher class licence must— if the person’s principal place of residence is within a 100km radius of a Q-Ride training area—hold a competency declaration for a class R motorbike; or if the person’s principal place of residence is outside a 100km radius from a Q-Ride training area— hold a competency declaration for a class R motorbike; or pass a practical driving test on a class R motorbike. Subsection (1) applies subject to sections 184 , 185 and 189 . Subsection (4) applies if the person holds a foreign driver licence, issued under the law of an unrecognised country, that corresponds to a class RE Queensland driver licence. For section 118 (1) (b) , the person must also pass each road rules test for the higher class licence, unless the person is not required to pass a road rules test for the licence under section 182 or 183 . s 120 amd 2026 SL No. 7 s 11 (sec.120-ssec.1) For section 118 (1) (b) , a person who applies for a higher class licence must— if the person’s principal place of residence is within a 100km radius of a Q-Ride training area—hold a competency declaration for a class R motorbike; or if the person’s principal place of residence is outside a 100km radius from a Q-Ride training area— hold a competency declaration for a class R motorbike; or pass a practical driving test on a class R motorbike. (sec.120-ssec.2) Subsection (1) applies subject to sections 184 , 185 and 189 .
