sec.240 Electronic issuing of driver authorising documents

This section applies if— an application is made under this part by electronic communication; and as a result of deciding the application, the decision-maker must, under this part, issue a driver authorising document to the applicant. This section also applies if, under section 229 — a licensee gives a notice to the chief executive by electronic communication; and the chief executive must issue a driver authorising document to the licensee. The driver authorising document must be electronically issued. However, subsection (3) does not apply if the driver authorising document is a smartcard dangerous goods driver licence. (sec.240-ssec.1) This section applies if— an application is made under this part by electronic communication; and as a result of deciding the application, the decision-maker must, under this part, issue a driver authorising document to the applicant. (sec.240-ssec.2) This section also applies if, under section 229 — a licensee gives a notice to the chief executive by electronic communication; and the chief executive must issue a driver authorising document to the licensee. (sec.240-ssec.3) The driver authorising document must be electronically issued. (sec.240-ssec.4) However, subsection (3) does not apply if the driver authorising document is a smartcard dangerous goods driver licence.
