sec.42 Functions
The function of a pilot vehicle driver is to drive a pilot vehicle to warn other road users of the presence of an oversize vehicle. The function of a pilot vehicle driver must be performed as required under— if the oversize vehicle is an oversize heavy vehicle—a mass or dimension exemption applying to the oversize vehicle; or if the oversize vehicle is an oversize light vehicle—a safe movement approval applying to the oversize vehicle (see also section 45 ). s 42 amd 2021 SL No. 114 s 139
- (a) if the oversize vehicle is an oversize heavy vehicle—a mass or dimension exemption applying to the oversize vehicle; or
- (b) if the oversize vehicle is an oversize light vehicle—a safe movement approval applying to the oversize vehicle (see also section 45 ).
