sec.286 Existing amendments, suspensions and temporary assignments

This section applies if, immediately before the commencement, an amendment, suspension or temporary assignment of an authority under an expired provision was in effect. The amendment, suspension or temporary assignment— continues in effect; and is taken to have been imposed or made under the corresponding provision for the expired provision. A suspension to which this section applies is taken to be for the same term that applied, immediately before the commencement, to the suspension under the expired regulation. This section does not limit section 294(2). In this section— amendment includes immediate amendment. suspension includes immediate suspension. (sec.286-ssec.1) This section applies if, immediately before the commencement, an amendment, suspension or temporary assignment of an authority under an expired provision was in effect. (sec.286-ssec.2) The amendment, suspension or temporary assignment— continues in effect; and is taken to have been imposed or made under the corresponding provision for the expired provision. (sec.286-ssec.3) A suspension to which this section applies is taken to be for the same term that applied, immediately before the commencement, to the suspension under the expired regulation. (sec.286-ssec.4) This section does not limit section 294(2). (sec.286-ssec.5) In this section— amendment includes immediate amendment. suspension includes immediate suspension.

• (b) is taken to have been imposed or made under the corresponding provision for the expired provision.
