sec.285 Existing authorities and approvals

This section applies to the following in force immediately before the commencement— an authority granted, issued, given or continued in force under an expired provision; an approval of any thing by the chief executive under an expired provision. The authority or approval— continues in force; and is taken to have been granted, issued, given or continued in force under the corresponding provision for the expired provision. The authority or approval is taken to be for the same term that applied, immediately before the commencement, to the authority or approval under the expired regulation. If the authority or approval was, immediately before the commencement, subject to a condition imposed under an expired provision, the condition— continues to apply; and is taken to have been imposed under the corresponding provision for the expired provision. This section does not limit section 290. (sec.285-ssec.1) This section applies to the following in force immediately before the commencement— an authority granted, issued, given or continued in force under an expired provision; an approval of any thing by the chief executive under an expired provision. (sec.285-ssec.2) The authority or approval— continues in force; and is taken to have been granted, issued, given or continued in force under the corresponding provision for the expired provision. (sec.285-ssec.3) The authority or approval is taken to be for the same term that applied, immediately before the commencement, to the authority or approval under the expired regulation. (sec.285-ssec.4) If the authority or approval was, immediately before the commencement, subject to a condition imposed under an expired provision, the condition— continues to apply; and is taken to have been imposed under the corresponding provision for the expired provision. (sec.285-ssec.5) This section does not limit section 290.
