141S Object of Port of Hastings Corporation S. 141S(1) substituted by No. 19/2022 s. 20(2). (1) The primary object of the Port of Hastings Corporation is to manage, develop and operate the port of Hastings consistently with the vision statement and the transport system objectives. (2) Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), the primary object includes the following— (a) to seek to ensure, in collaboration with relevant responsible bodies, that appropriate transport infrastructure is provided to support the growth and development of the port of Hastings; (b) to ensure, in collaboration with relevant responsible bodies, that the port of Hastings is effectively integrated with the transport system and other systems of infrastructure in the State; (c) to facilitate, in collaboration with relevant responsible bodies, the sustainable growth of trade through the port of Hastings; (d) to ensure that essential port services of the port of Hastings are available and cost effective.
