9A Production of digital token or a V/Line digital ticket for inspection

(1) For the purposes of regulations 8 and 9, a person travelling using a digital token that proves the existence of a ticket produces that token for inspection if the person makes the personal electronic device on which the digital token is stored available to an authorised person (ticketing) so that the validity of the ticket can be electronically tested or read using a hand held reader or Handheld V/Line.

(2) For the purposes of regulations 8 and 9, a person travelling using a V/Line digital ticket produces that V/Line digital ticket for inspection if the person displays the V/Line digital ticket on a personal electronic device when requested to do so by an authorised person (ticketing) and allows the authorised person (ticketing) to inspect and electronically read the V/Line digital ticket.
