14 Defence in relation to entry to a compulsory ticket area
(1) It is a defence to a charge under regulation 7(2) that the person charged took all reasonable steps that were available to have in the person's possession a ticket that was valid for the entry—
(a) before entering the compulsory ticket area; and
(b) while the person was in the compulsory ticket area.
(2) It is a defence to a charge under regulation 9(2) that the person charged took all reasonable steps that were available to produce for inspection a token that proves the existence of a ticket that was valid for the entry—
(a) before entering the compulsory ticket area; and
(b) while the person was in the compulsory ticket area.
