#### 149 Chief Investigator 149 Chief Investigator > > (1) The person holding office as the Chief Investigator under section 42S immediately before the repeal of that section by the amending Act is appointed as the Chief Investigator under section 45 as inserted by the amending Act. > > > (2) The person appointed under subclause (1) holds office for the residue of the person’s term of office as, and subject to the same conditions (including conditions as to remuneration and duration of employment) as, those of the person’s appointment as Chief Investigator under section 42S. > > > (3) Part 3.1 of the [Public Sector Employment and Management Act 2002](/view/html/repealed/current/act-2002-043) applies to and in respect of the employment of the Chief Investigator under this clause.
