111 Application to Registrar for indemnity without bringing action (1) Any person who under the last preceding section is entitled to bring an action for indemnity against the Registrar may before commencing such action apply for compensation by a claim to the Registrar in writing supported by affidavit or statutory declaration. (2) If the Registrar admits the claim or any part thereof and certifies accordingly and the Treasurer of Victoria signifies his approval the amount so certified shall be paid from moneys appropriated by Parliament for the purpose.
