79Private international law does not affect enforcement of registered NZ judgments

#### 79 Private international law does not affect enforcement of registered NZ judgments (1) Enforcement in Australia of a registered NZ judgment is not affected by the operation of any rule of private international law (other than any rule in this Part) in operation in Australia. (2) Without limiting subsection (1), an Australian court may not refuse to enforce, or delay, limit or prohibit the enforcement of, a registered NZ judgment on any of the following grounds: (a) enforcing the judgment would involve the direct or indirect enforcement in Australia of a New Zealand public law; (b) New Zealand tax is payable under the judgment; (c) the judgment imposes a civil pecuniary penalty or a regulatory regime criminal fine.
