Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation simply cancels (repeals) the old rules from 1919 that governed the training ship Tingira.

What was the Tingira? The Tingira was a former Royal Navy warship used by the Royal Australian Navy as a training vessel for boys and junior sailors. By 1927, the ship was no longer required for this purpose.

What does this do? It formally scraps the 1919 regulations that set out how the ship should be managed and operated.

What about things done under the old rules? The repeal includes a standard legal safety net (called a savings clause). This means anything lawfully completed under the old regulations—such as training qualifications earned, contracts signed, or decisions made—remains valid and legally recognised, even though the rules themselves are now gone.
