57Breath analysis

57 Breath analysis (1) A person must not use a prescribed breath analysis instrument for the purposes of the Act unless the person has prepared it for use at that time. (2) To prepare a prescribed breath analysis instrument for use, a person must ensure that: (a) the instrument is turned on; and (b) the words "READY TO START" appear on the display panel of the instrument. (3) A person must not carry out a breath analysis of a sample of a person's breath for the purposes of the Act unless satisfied that the person whose breath is to be analysed has not consumed alcohol within the period of 15 minutes immediately preceding the giving of the sample.
